This Spring, one of the most exciting places to be is the OC Fair and Event Center! For those staying in hotels near the Orange County Fairgrounds, be sure to attend the Imaginology– ‘Full S.T.E.A.M Ahead!’ Over a three day event, all visitors will enjoying exploring the different areas of S.T.E.A.M! ‘S’ for the Sciences, ‘T’ for Technology, ‘E’ for Engineering, ‘A’ for Art and ‘M’ for Mathematics. Between Friday April 11th and Sunday the 13th, local children of pre-K age right through to high school students will be taking part in a number activities, competitions, workshops, educational groups and much more. The event has free admission for people of all ages, with parking being $7 on Saturday and Sunday. Stalls and stands will explore the options for careers in the various fields of agriculture, technology, arts and sciences, with numerous organizations attending to provide activities and give information about their groups and roles. Don’t miss the chance to see a live worm farm in the Bug Barn, or to create terrariums and plant seedlings or learn about stamping leather. For those with younger kids, come meet baby chicks at the petting zoos with pony rides and scarecrow competitions. Also available are inflatable ride games, Bubble Rollers, or learn to play chess well as a range of other scientific toys and games!
On all days of the event, a number of food booths and trucks will be on hand to keep everyone satisfied, many of which are supported by the local youth community groups. On Friday, guests can visit Dos Chinos, Crepes Bonaparte, Kona Ice or Porko Rico. Saturday will see Cousin’s Maine Lobster, Calbi, Piaggio, Melt Bus, Chunk N Chip, Dogzilla and Waffles de Liege on site, while Sunday combines stalls from both of the two previous days plus a Bakery Truck and the Grilled Cheese Truck.
