#1 Did you know what Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will be the BIGGEST LAND at Disneyland® Resort ever? It will take up 14 acres just north of Frontierland. It will be the largest land ever built in Walt Disney’s original Anaheim theme park. Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI) in collaboration with the Lucasfilm Story Group designed the new land, while of Industrial Light & Magic consulted.
#2 Guests will be able to do a complete walking tour of the Millennium Falcon, as well as having the option to fly as a pilot, a gunner shooting blasters or making the jump to hyperspace. Each guest will be a part of a team, and together everyone will help complete a mission using the Millennium Falcon. The spacecraft is 100 feet in diameter.
#3 Oga’s Cantina will be the first place in Disneyland® Resort to sell alcoholic beverages to the public. Cantina drinks will include special craft beers, wine and special outer-space themed cocktails as well as kids’ drinks. The cantina will feature seating with U-shaped bar, booths, tables and a performance stage.
#4 Black Spire Outpost was built as an infamous stop for traders, adventurers, and smugglers traveling around the Outer Rim and Wild Space. It’s supposed to be a remote outpost on the galaxy’s edge that was once a busy crossroads along the old sub-lightspeed trade routes. This remote location is supposed to be hidden from the First Order. The backstory behind the spires at the Outpost is that they’re supposed to be the petrified remains of an ancient forest in space.
#5 Ride Battle Escape on an 8-person “Star Destroyer” trackless vehicle. This ride is inside a massive building that takes up nearly one-fourth of Galaxy’s Edge. The ride takes place inside a hangar bay and guests find themselves in a battle between the resistance and the First Order as they weave through projection screens with elaborate props before getting out in an escape pod.
