This summer, Hollywood Land inside Disney California Adventure park at the Disneyland® Resort is teeming with superheroes. You can take a selfie with legendary superheroes like Spiderman, Captain America, Black Panther, Groot, and Captain Marvel. These character encounters give you a great chance to post great pictures to Facebook or Instagram.
You can also experience Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout! You’ll get to explore an alien museum where the Collector keeps his vast extraterrestrial collection in suspended glass cases. You’ll also experience a video introduction from the Collector (played by Benicio Del Toro), who explains that the Guardians of the Galaxy — Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Groot and Rocket Raccoon — are his prized possessions and your mission: Help the Guardians escape!
Also, coming next year, in 2020, Disney California Adventure will be opening an all-new The Marvel Superheroes Land. The new land will be replacing the current “It’s a Bug’s Life” area to make room for these new attractions. In fact, if you take a stroll around the area now you will see construction walls up in the area with the insignia of Stark Enterprises. The Marvel Superheroes Land here will include the already present Guardians of the Galaxy Mission: BREAKOUT! and two other attractions, one based on Spider-Man and the other based on The Avengers!
Besides new attractions, the new Superheroes land will also feature new restaurants and shops all from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. There will also be some form of the Avengers’ headquarters building built into the cityscape.
