If you do plan to attend New Years at the Disneyland® Resort, be sure to arrive as early as you can. New Years is a busy day. If the park gets too crowded, they could stop selling tickets as early as mid-morning. There may be longer than usual times for traffic, parking, and security checkpoints. The best way to ensure that your arrival is trouble-free is to get to the parks early. Once inside, you may want to try to use the FastPass system for some of your favorite rides, it’ll save you time in long lines.
If you haven’t had a chance, you will want to check out Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge ©Disney/Lucasfilm Ltd and see all of your favorite Star Wars characters, themed areas, amazing rides, and delicious eateries. Plus, you’ll get the chance to visit in is Millennium Falcon and fly as a pilot, shoot blasters, and make the jump to hyperspace!
On New Year’s Eve, Disneyland® Park guests will get to experience two fireworks shows. Fireworks showtimes are 9:00 p.m. (celebrating the East Coast’s New Year’s) and 11:55 p.m. (celebrating the West Coast’s New Year’s). You will enjoy festive and explosive fireworks with great music and a countdown to midnight for both east coast and west coast times. For the best spots, choose to watch fireworks near the castle or Main Street. Expect to see people getting into position hours before the show, possibly as early as noon.
